Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs)

Essential Fatty Acids, or EFAs, are the good fats which we need for a healthy body. These fatty acids need to be obtained thorough diet and/or supplementation as the human body is unable to make them.

There are several types of EFAs, omega-3, omega-6 & omega-9.
 
These good fats help support the cardiovascular, immune, reproductive and nervous systems. The body needs EFAs to produce and repair cells as well as helping to regulate body functions including blood pressure, heart rate, conception, fertility & the immune system. EFAs have also been shown to help with concentration, memory & intelligence especially in growing children.
